i’ll direct a video for you when i’m up there next weekish. i’ll bring my cameras and film school glasses, natch*.

*this was something that i read in a recent cosmo while doing “the quiz” at work. “Natch”? what is this “natch”? i asked those around me. the girls didn’t know and the other cooks looked at me pityingly as if saying, “why the hell are you reading a cosmo anyway?” well, for explanations came just a few days later and i found out one of the hip new things the young folks are saying, that being “natch”. “Natch” is hipcoolfunkiness saying to the adult adblok that raised them, “naturally”. as in “i buy into your consumer lifestyle of debt and dissatisfaction, natch! and sell me more.”

thom, i am going to take you entirely seriously (natch!) on that video thing. i hope you don’t mind spending your entire vacation collecting footage.

by the way in high school i coined POS DEF (as in, am i going to the show— pos def, mingus!) that is way more subterranean and respectable than “natch” which — i am sorry to tell you, i was saying in highschool as well. pos def is like the fucking smiths pre-top of the pops premiere. like whoa!

ps thanks amy! i am way into compliments! i want to premiere them somehow once i have a bunch, but afterwards i plan on disseminating them with a mutual respect in mind.
