i’m getting excited!!! and i can’t wait…tell us when tell us when!

**********

I.

when i buy the new copy of aerophyte,
i’m going to trade the old copy in
at a used bookstore and
see how they likes it.

i’m going to forget everything i read
up until then
and like a newborn
experience the morning for the first time
all over again.

each day dawning
like it was the first
forever brought about
in cyclical panorama.

and then afterwards, i don’t know what; i’m going to write you notes. i’ll send them with jars of riverwater, having bacteria and algae swim about before your big eyes staring, reminding you of home. you could buy an aquarium tank, filling it with my bottled messages of “forget-me-nots” and feed the milky murky muddy mississippi waters the lives of shrimps and fishies and foundlings of all aquatic varieties, seeing which take shape and hold. the ecosystems of a bright brooklyn apartment future contained in diorama and photographed in panopticons of fortune tellings. she sees your past and speaks to it. she sees the music of soul and glitter golden within your viens. the congo jazz and the cries of wild sweated nights roaring to the twenties you conspicuously cruise. wipe your brow blue hanky, wipe your brow. but never forget your muddied roots. salat salaam.

[...] yeah, being a day where not much at all has happened, i figured i’d mention an announcement that nick made over at amr today concerning the upcoming publication of his first book of poesy, mr. feathers flies again.  also mentioned was that my life as an aerophyte would be republished with revisions to the text and design around the same time in october.
